INDIA'S FIRST CREATOR BATTLE
What Was DCY?
Digitek Creator Of The Year, initiated by Digitek, is India’s first creator battle made with one clear thought - creators deserve a real stage. It’s a platform where talent, ideas, and creativity come together without limits or labels. DCY brings together talent from across the country, creating a space where both emerging and experienced creators get equal visibility. It’s not just about winning, but about being seen, heard, and taken seriously for your work. Built with a strong creator-first mindset, Digitek turned DCY battle into an Experience that helps the creators to grow beyond boundaries.
The contest features:
1. Digitek Creator Of The Year
2. Digitek Face Of The Year
3. Digitek Table Top Creator Of The Year
4. Digitek Travel Creator Of The Year
Digitek Fashion Creator Of The Year
Fashion is fire, attitude, and story-and only the lens has the power to crown it. This category became a battlefield of style, pushing creators to dominate every frame with confidence and intent. From controlled indoor shoots to high-energy outdoor challenges, and finally a short love film featuring models, each task tested vision, precision, and the ability to tell compelling stories through fashion. It wasn’t just about clothes, it was about emotion, movement, and impact.
Stepping into this arena were Nilay Pandey, Sayan Bose, and Sudipta Chanda. Armed with Digitek gear, they transformed sets into runways, moments into cinema, and models into unforgettable icons. Their work didn’t simply capture fashion—it amplified its voice, made it fearless, and proved that when style meets storytelling, fashion doesn’t whisper, it roars.
Digitek Face of The Year
On this stage stood Ally Khan, Kashish Khandelwal, and Soniya Chaudhary - a powerful face-off of confidence, individuality, and undeniable presence. It wasn’t just about who stood tallest in the frame, but who commanded attention, turned heads effortlessly, and truly embodied the spirit of Digitek. Each contestant brought their own story, style, and strength, making the moment a celebration of authenticity over perfection.
Digitek Face of the Year celebrates beauty that inspires and confidence that captivates long after the spotlight fades. This platform has never been about looks alone, it’s about energy, presence, and the courage to stand out unapologetically. Chosen for their raw talent, natural charm, and fearless self-expression, these finalists represented the boldest version of themselves - and the future of confident creators.
Digitek Travel Creator Of The Year
Travel photography is more than capturing landscapes, it is storytelling in motion. It’s the art of chasing light across horizons, freezing fleeting moments, and turning simple journeys into lasting legends. This category demanded vision, grit, patience, and the courage to see the world from perspectives others might miss. Every frame had to carry emotion, context, and a sense of place beyond the obvious.
We challenged our creators to turn Goa into a living story, to frame it in ways it had never been seen before. Rising to the moment were Subin Raj, Nikhil Gaikwad, Sumaydh Joshi, and Vibhu Singh. Through their lenses, roads became narratives, paths became poetry, and journeys transformed into timeless visual tales—proving that travel isn’t just about where you go, but how powerfully you tell the story.
Digitek Tabletop Creator Of The Year
Tabletop isn’t photography, it’s alchemy. It’s the art of making the non-living breathe, of turning stillness into stories that ignite the senses. In this space, ordinary objects became weapons, and imagination defined the battlefield. Every frame demanded intention, precision, and vision beyond the obvious.
In this arena stood Bikram Mallick, the Guy Who Clicks, and Utkaarsh Puri, the Vagabond Shutterbug. They didn’t merely photograph products, they elevated them into icons. Through light, shadow, and perspective, they proved that even silence can roar when shaped by instinct, mastery, and the fearless eye of true creators.
FOUNDER’S VISION THAT ROARED ON GOA’S SHORES
The Founder’s Voice
I want Indian creators to stand out. At Digitek, we are not just making products, we are building weapons for this generation of creators. Every light, every lens, every piece of gear we create is designed to give you power.
And power must belong to everyone. That’s why our goal is simple, to bring world-class creator gear to every Indian home, at a price where no dream feels out of reach. Because creation is not for the privileged few, it’s for every single one of you who dares to pick up a camera and say, this is my story. Digitek Creator of the Year is not just an event we hosted, it is the revolution we are leading.
Goa Became Our Stage
For four days, Goa screamed Digitek. The sun, the sand, the sea, everything became part of our story. At the stunning Aralea Beach Resort, creators, mentors, and crew came together to transform paradise into a battlefield of imagination.
The mornings began with blazing sunrises, the afternoons with the scorching heat testing endurance, and the evenings with golden sunsets that painted the sky for our frames. On the beaches, our sets came alive, and the creators fought with lenses and vision, pushing every limit. And when the battles paused, the nights roared at Thalassa, where rivalry gave way to celebration under the Goan stars.
MENTORS OF THE BATTLEFIELD
THE POWER OF MENTORSHIP
Raja Awasthi’s Master Workshop
When a master takes the reins, even nature listens. On the beaches of Goa, mentor Raja Awasthi pushed photographers to see beyond frames and into new dimensions of art. With Digitek lighting, he created an artificial sun, bending the elements to his vision and turning imagination into reality. He then went further, building a 16-light setup using Digitek Stick Lights, Continuous Lights, and Video Lights, proving how mastery and the right tools can transform any stage into a canvas of pure power.
Praveen Bhat’s Master Workshop
Workshop with Praveen Bhat. When fashion met the sea, Praveen Bhat turned the shores of Goa into his runway. With the waves crashing and the horizon as his backdrop, he led our Digitek Face of the Year models into a shoot that was nothing short of iconic. Every frame carried drama, style, and raw power, proving why he is celebrated as one of India’s finest fashion photographers.
